“ I began my search for a puppy online and connected with a breeder. Within days, they convinced me to drive three hours for a parking lot pickup! Sensing something was off, I contacted the founders of DOGG!T, who agreed. They promptly assisted me, connecting me with a wonderful breeder. In a couple of weeks, we visited her home, met both parents, and played with the pups. The moment we saw Stewart, we knew he was the one, and we couldn't wait to take him home. I'm incredibly thankful for DOGG!T's help and education throughout this journey. We are forever grateful for their assistance in finding our soul-dog.“

Frequently Asked Questions

Find Out What Our Puppy Buyers Want To Know Most.
What is a responsible breeder?

A responsible breeder will be sure to perform all the recommended health clearances for their breeding dogs. They will raise their puppies in a clean, consistent, and safe environment. They will have a vast knowledge base of their breed(s). They compete in dog sports or otherwise use their dogs for the purpose their dogs were bred for. They prioritize health, temperament, structure and overall soundness of their dogs. They do NOT breed for profit or just for the fun of it.

Where can I find a breeder?

Our matchmaker services will guide and assist you through the process of finding a responsible breeder and support you all the way to gotcha day!

What are the biggest health issues I should look out for in a puppy?

All breeds vary in different health and genetic traits. It’s important to research the breed you are interested in. A great resource we use is the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals. They outline every breeds’ recommended health clearances that should be performed on all breeding dogs.

Should I get a puppy from a breeder rather than a shelter or adoption agency?

All puppies deserve loving, amazing, forever homes. That being said, we highly encourage if you are looking for a puppy that you either procure one from a responsible breeder or that you have the resources, knowledge, patience, education and capacity to take on a puppy whose health, temperament and training may take extra dedication. We do not believe you should buy a puppy from a breeder that has not been verified through our responsible breeder checklist. It is our mission to regulate dog breeding standards and elevate the practices of breeders who do not currently follow those standards. We owe it to our dogs to ensure they have the best chances to live a happy, healthy, long life.

Why choose DOGG!T to help me find a puppy?

DOGG!T is the first of its kind health verified breeder network. We are subject matter experts in breeding, raising, training and loving dogs. We understand the first step of a happy and healthy dog starts with its parents. We do not advocate for breeders who do not health test their dogs specific to their breed standards. We do not advocate for breeders who are not purposefully breeding for better health, happiness, temperament, soundness and longevity of their breed. We understand that it’s stressful and even scary to take the journey of finding a breeder on your own. We are unbiased experts in determining whether a breeder is using responsible practices or not.

What is the average price of a puppy from a breeder?

Prices will range from breed to breed and breeder to breeder. Generally, a ballpark range is $1500-$3500.

How long does it take to find a breeder and a puppy?

There are many variables that play into the timeline. Your preferences along with how many litters of puppies are available throughout the year play a part in the time it may take to find your perfect pup. We recommend starting the process up to a year in advance. The more rare breeds may take longer. The more common breeds may be quicker. An average time for us to find the right breeder for you is less than three months. Once you found the right breeder, you will be placed on their puppy list and depending on how frequent they have puppies will determine your timeline. It’s also possible for you to be placed on multiple breeders’ puppy lists, which we also recommend. Sometimes puppies are available right away so it is difficult to determine this metric.
